Department of Public Administration, GCWUF presented tribute to all women in the world on International Women's Day on 8th March 2023. The department heldba quiz competition and rally of mock figures of many notable Pakistani women known for their extraordinary services in diverse fields of life. Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq (T.I) was the chief guest of the event. Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti, Rector, Virtual University of Pakistan, and Prof. Dr. Ismaat Shah from UIUC, USA, were the guests of honor. Coordinator Faculty of Management Sciences Dr. Nausheen Syed was the convener of the event. Incharge Department of Public Administration was the organizer of the event. The purpose of this event was to uphold women???s achievement, recognize challenges and focus greater attention on women???s rights. It is a day when women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, cultural, economic or political. Role models for our national dignitaries from various sectors reflected the real pictures by describing historical achievements of those legend women. A tribute was presented to Worthy Vice Chancellor GCWUf by depicting her role. Students paid tribute to respected and dearest Ms. Fatima Jinnah, Benazir Bhutto, Bilqees Edhi, Madam Noor Jehan, Malala Yousaf Zai, Arfa Kareem, Asma Jehangir, Muniba Mazari.Registrar GCWUF, Mr. Asif Malik, and Director Academics Prof. Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli also visited the event and appreciated students' efforts. Dr. Naushen Syed distributed the certificates among the students. In addition to the distinguished guests, Incharges of various departments, Dr. Syeda Samina Tahira from the Department of Education, Ms. Shahida Perveen from the Department of Commerce, Ms. Saira Akhter from the Department of English, Ms. Tayaba Anwar from the Department of Political Science, Dr. Unsa Jamshed from the Department of Pak Studies, and Ms. Fahmida Ayub from the Department of Health and Physical Education also graced the event. Different food stalls were arranged by the students of the Department of Public Administration. Quiz Competition related to our great women was also a part of the event.
